What we collect

When you use TradeEstimator, we collect the answers you provide in the estimate form (such as project type, location, and scope). We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifying information unless you voluntarily provide it.

We also collect standard server logs including anonymised IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. These are used solely for site performance and security monitoring.

How we use it

Your form answers are used to generate a cost estimate via AI. We may also store anonymised estimate data to improve the accuracy of future estimates. This data cannot be used to identify you.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies

TradeEstimator uses session storage (not persistent cookies) to temporarily hold your estimate results between pages. This data is cleared when you close your browser tab. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

Third-party services

Estimates are generated using Anthropic's Claude AI API. Your form inputs are sent to Anthropic's servers to generate a response. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing. We do not send any personally identifying information to Anthropic.

This site is hosted on Vercel. Standard access logs may be retained by Vercel in accordance with their privacy policy.

Your rights

As we do not collect personally identifying information, there is generally no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions or concerns, contact us at privacy@tradeestimator.com.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
